With the one month countdown to NeoCon in full effect, here’s what you need to know:
What is NeoCon?
NeoCon serves as the commercial design industry’s launchpad for innovation making it THE most important industry event of the year. It began in 1969 at The Mart in Chicago and has continued annually every June with this year marking its 51st edition! It’s the 3-day event that brings the world’s manufacturers, dealers, architects, designers, end-users, design organizations and media together under one roof. It’s where the newest commercial design products are showcased in nearly 1 million square feet of exhibition space, daily keynote presentations and more than 100 CEU programs are offered, complete with a multitude of networking, events and celebrations to top it off!
Now that you’re up to speed on NeoCon, your next question is probably…
How is CIR’s NeoContest related?
In 2004, we decided to partner with a handful of industry colleagues to sponsor “NeoContest”, a contest in which our local Orange Country Architects & Designers could enter to win an all-expenses paid trip to NeoCon. The contest was so successful that we decided to make it an annual event. To enter, Architects & Designers simply complete a form on our website outlining any projects they’re currently working on in which they have considered, contacted or specified one or more of the products and/or services offered by the NeoContest sponsors.
This year, we teamed up with Armstrong, Bentley and Pivot to sponsor NeoContest, and we selected two entries at random each month from Feb – April. We’re looking forward to three days of learning and fun with these six amazing designers!
A BIG congrats to:
- Emily Aschbrenner, LPA
- Jordan Raska, H Hendy
- Megan Deguchi, D-space
- Michelle Curry, LPA
- Stephanie West, Gensler
- Taleen Badawi, H Hendy
