Ken Hurd is founder, president and chief executive officer of Commercial Interior Resources, which he founded in 1983. A native of Chicago, he has more than 35 years of experience working in the Architecture and Design community.
With the goal of bringing a new level of professionalism to the industry, Ken takes pride in having built an organization that shares in his vision and values, and in which other individuals find the inspiration and guidance to excel, grow and continually set new standards for others to follow.
You’ll find Ken involved with a wide variety of industry groups and causes, including co-chair of the Southern California Floor Covering Pension and Health & Wellness Trust Fund; chairman of the Floor Covering Association of Southern California; trustee of the Southern California Joint Apprenticeship Trust. He co-founded Fuse Alliance, a network of over 100 professional commercial flooring companies in the U.S., Mexico and Canada, served as its president, and currently acts as an advisor to the organization. Today, CIR remains a proud member of Fuse, sharing industry experience about flooring product knowledge and installation expertise, while promoting sustainability initiatives that benefit the environment.
