A stylish look for the test of time
CIR provided floor covering solutions to create a professional, sophisticated look while working within a tenant improvement budget. The upscale, active law firm also needed a finished product that would continue to look like new throughout an existing lease with minimal maintenance. CIR installed a variety of solutions that fit the firm's budget and, at the same time, fit their individual style.
Creativity and teamwork lead to recognition
Although the condition of the concrete subfloor of this existing building was tested and found unsuitable for installation of the products specified, CIR worked with each manufacturer to provide a cost effective solution that corrected this situation. CIR also worked very closely with both the design firm, H. Hendy and the general contractor throughout the project to ensure the end result met expectations These efforts resulted in CIR's inclusion as part of the collaborative team for the project's nomination for a Southern California IIDA Calibre Award.

Flooring projects designed to be both formal and fun
Collaborating with many members of a large project team, CIR helped produce a variety of interior designs for two distinct projects. The Children's Building needed finishes that were whimsical, durable and serviceable while The Sanctuary required a more traditional and sophisticated look. CIR was able to meet the requirements of both unique projects while delivering the most cost-effective solutions.
Remodeling takes place behind the scenes
This major remodeling project included all aspects of floor, wall and window coverings. This four-story project included connecting stairs and required extensive floor preparation. The job required CIR to work very closely with the designer, end user, and General Contractor to modify working hours, accelerate schedules, and create swing space during construction. CIR was able to phase the project so the client's disruption and loss of productivity was kept to an absolute minimum.
An old printing factory is "given wings"
The bare concrete floor in this 50-year-old printing factory was saturated with years of ink spills and was never intended to receive floor covering. When the floor would get wet, the ink would bleed to the surface and pool in a rainbow of colors. First, CIR needed to address the ink issue and prep the floor. Next, we had to find a product that would perform successfully for the client under these conditions in this high profile space for years to come. Despite a tight schedule, we located readily available products that met these requirements - while remaining on schedule, without compromising the design, quality or the environment.
Working overtime for opening night
An extremely complex project, the concert hall involved multiple levels, multiple thresholds and transitions to accommodate sound and material elevation differences and more than 500 stairs. Because of the architectural complexity, the project was behind schedule before we stepped foot on site. With Placido Domingo scheduled for opening night and the news media waiting outside the doors, getting back on schedule was critical. CIR worked double shifts for weeks and through the Labor Day Holiday to help the contractor get back on track.
Transforming a box into a temple
This 65,000 square foot call center was basically a box with very few windows and no distinguishing physical characteristics. It was to be converted into a Jewish Temple with a traditional Old World Jerusalem theme. Through creative use of materials, both in their selection and in their placement, CIR was able to produce a distinctive finished project. CIR was recognized at the temple's grand opening for our ability to make extraordinary contribution to the project and serve as a significant member of the team
Going green to get the gold
This environmentally friendly project for a long-time client of over twenty years, included about 600,000 square feet of new office space throughout five interconnected three-story buildings in a campus setting. Strict LEED Gold Certification guidelines required that all products, construction procedures and practices, including even waste handling, were completed in an environmentally safe way. Job site safety and monitoring were key factors as well. In addition, CIR painstakingly followed the aggressive construction schedule and budgets that were developed prior to construction.

Millions of square feet on time and on budget
The Designers at DeRevere & Associates and Architect Leo A. Daly created this five-building project, which included a corporate headquarters, two story dry goods distribution building and security facility, totaling some 2.12 million square feet. CIR worked closely with the contractor to prepare site conditions for installation of specified products within the project's aggressive construction schedule. CIR selected special backing systems and upgraded adhesives to ensure the project stayed on time and on budget. CIR is proud to have contributed both product knowledge and quality installation to such a prestigious Southern California project.
Clients receive guided tour of flooring possibilities
CIR worked directly with the church's facility management team and in-house designer to create an economical, high performance flooring solution with minimal maintenance requirements. CIR arranged tours for the staff at carpet manufacturing facilities to better determine which products would work best for them. Because budget was a major concern, CIR worked closely with the manufacturer and end user to develop the very best products relative to construction and performance at the best possible cost.
