Installation is a key component to customer satisfaction.
Carpet, for that matter, any flooring, is only as good as the installation. CIR's specially trained installation teams combine an integrated approach to product and process which allows us to catch potential problems before they become serious nightmares. Our technicians are knowledgeable and understand site conditions, carpet backings, pre-treatments, adhesives and a number of other variables required to ensure installation satisfaction. They take the guesswork out of the installation process.
Each of CIR's field technicians receives extensive and continuing educational training Using a combination of mentoring, hands-on and classroom curriculum, CIR focuses on continuous education surrounding leading edge technology, processes and tools. This ensures the health and safety of our labor force while providing our customers unsurpassed installation of their floorcovering investment.
There are several factors that are part of the evaluation process. In addition to the face or visible parts of the product, backing types and installation products also must meet diverse site conditions. Installation products and techniques are addressed, ensuring installation precision and less material waste on the job site. We also consider how a product will be packaged and transported to determine the most sustainable and cost-effective options available. All of this must be understood and integrated into the product design to ensure maximum performance and stability. to insure installation precision and less material waste on the job site. Pre-site Evaluation and Conditioning
A technically sound and aesthetically pleasing installation starts before the product arrives on the job site. Prolonging the installation of your flooring can affect a projects schedule, adding cost to your overall budget and headaches you just dont need.
Our crews evaluate the work site for historical information that will tell them if additional preparation is required before installing your carpet, as well as how to complete your project on time and within budget. Job site conditions, such as concrete moisture, can adversely affect your flooring investment post-installation and may not become obvious for months or years. Moisture vapor transmission is common and can result in bond failure between flooring materials and sub-flooring by bringing alkaline to the surface, which can chemically destroy the adhesive and cause buckling or shifting of the floorcovering.
Facility Take-offs
CIR technicians work closely to understand your facility take-offs, as well as obtain extensive measurements from each production run of patterned carpet. This provides installers a production "road map" essential to anticipating potential pattern alignment issues during the projects preplanning stages. This significantly lowers the waste factor that can be experienced in pattern and grain matching.
Utilizing a state-of-the-art CAD estimating program, timely, accurate take-offs are obtained in minutes adn can be up-dated as needed. The program generates full color, graphical mapping of floorplans, with seam by seam layout directions. This significantly lowers the waste factor that can be experienced in pattern and grain matching.
